How to create a printing area of irregular shape: Coreldraw

inkXE gives you the flexibility to restrict your customers to design inside a boundary of irregular shape and size. This is the boundary, inside which printing is allowed.

To create the printing area of any shape using Coreldraw,

1. Create a new file of 500X500 pixels.
2. Place an image of the product on the stage.
3. Right Click on the image and Click "Lock".
   * This is to make sure that the 'printing area' fits perfectly over of the product.

4. Draw the outline(s) over the product.
5. Set the fill color(s) of the path(s) to 'None'
6. Delete the original product image.
7. Select all the path(s)
8. From the Properties Panel > Click "Simplify"
From the Properties Panel > Click "Weld"
    This step joins the paths.

9. Select "Shape" tool from Toolbar.
Now you should see the 'Contour Paths'.

* If you see all the 'Contour point' in one direction (clockwise or anti-clockwise), then you must reverse the 'Contour point' directions of the inner paths that you want to cut a hole.

10. Select all the "Contour point" (Press shift to select multiple points)
11. Right Click > Reverse Subpaths

12. Save the file as SVG file: File > Save As
SVG profile must be set to 1.1

Make sure the output SVG has only ONE path as seen below.
