How to add product in Magento: without product image?
To add product in Magento,
1. Login to your Magento Admin.
2. Go to Catalog on the top navigation menu and click Manage Products.3. A new page will appear. Click Add Product located at the top-extreme-right.
4. The product page will appear. Take the following actions there:
- Under New Product, choose inkXE from the Attribute Set and Configurable Product from the Product Type and click Continue.
- In the next page, select the checkboxes of XE_Color and XE_Size and click Continue.
- In the next page, enter all the required details and scroll down to find Show in Designer. Select 'Yes' in the drop-down.
- Now, go to Prices from the left menu. Enter Price and Tax class. Other details are optional.
- Go to Images from the left menu. Take the following actions there:
(i) Click Browse Files to add product image
(ii) Once inserted, click Upload Files. Product image will get listed
(iii) Provide other details of the product, such as Label Base Image, Small Image, Sort Order, and Thumbnail
- Go to Inventory from the left menu. Choose In Stock for Stock Availability
- Go to Categories and select your category for the product.
- Go to Associated Products. Enter all the required details and click Quick Create
5. Click Save and Continue.
Your product has been added.

Since you don't have images for different color variants of the product, you have to upload image in inkXE admin.
1. Open inkXE Admin.
2. Go to Products and then Product Images.
3. Click Add New Template. Now, select Add Side if you want to add multiple side for a template. Enter other properties, such as Name, Side Name, and Sort Order.
4. Click Save.
5. Next, go to Products and click Product List.
6. Select the product for which you have created the template. A popup will open asking you to assign the template.
7. Select your template from the drop-down and click Save.
A configurable product could be anything that has a variation a user can choose on the front end. For example a T-shirt which comes in several different sizes and colours. Magento treats a configurable product as a collection of simple products: each variation has its own SKU and inventory listing. If you plan to grow your business, the configurable product type is a better choice for a product with multiple options.
